Teaser Tuesday #6: Bewitched in Oz by Laura J Burns

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading

Synopsis: When Zerie Greenapple's friend is arrested for using her magic, she knows she must do everything she can to protect her own magic...even if it means traversing the dangerous landscapes of Oz and encountering strange creatures along the way. Zerie and two friends set out to find Glinda the Good, in the hope that she can help them defeat the evil Princess Ozma. But what they experience on their journey might just tear them apart. Will magic be enough to save these three friends?

Teaser: Just because people are in the same family doesn't mean they behave the same way, or think the same things, or even tell each other what they're doing. Ozma wouldn't assume that the whole family was guilty just because one person was using magic.

  6. Interesting. Is it on the same reading level/tone as the Oz books, or is it darker?

Thanks for stopping by my blog as well!

  7. I guess in Oz magic could be a real problem. Something about wicked witches all over the place.

  8. Hi Ashna,

I have to be honest and say that this probably isn't a book for me. That's not to say that I wouldn't give it a try if requested to do so for review, but I can't ever see myself buying it...

The cover isn't bad and take away the reference to magic and your teaser lines about family are actually Oh! so true!

What is the old saying "You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family"

Thanks for sharing and I hope that you enjoy the book,

    Yvonne
